ABOUT

James is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).  He received his Masters of Science in Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012, and has extensive practice working as a Therapist, Case Manager, and Sober Coach at a variety of residential treatment centers.  James has experience facilitating group and individual therapy sessions while encouraging and guiding clients to successfully explore the many hidden treasures within that are obscured by unresolved emotional pain.

James completed his Bachelors of Business Administration undergraduate degree in 1983 from Baylor University and pursued a 25 year career in the restaurant service industry. During this time, James fine-tuned his interpersonal and communication skills, which have enabled him to successfully interact with many types of personalities. James is well known for his capacity to listen and connect with clients on a level where they feel comfort and trust in his support.  His first-hand experience with embracing courage through personal vulnerability to explore, discover, and resolve his emotional pain has proven to be rewarding and provided him freedom over a personal addiction to drugs and alcohol.  This valuable experience has given him the ability to instill hope in others and help them embark on their individual path to self-actualization. James is truly passionate and has dedicated his life to helping individuals access their personal inner strength, persevere through the many symptoms of emotional pain, and rediscover their true Essence of Peace, Freedom, and Happiness; enabling them to enjoy a full, authentic, and content life.
